Local animal shelter sees big adoption weekend
The Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center helps takes care of dogs and cats until they are adopted. At the start of the weekend, they were struggling.
“We were desperate. We were busting at the seems. We were at 112-percent over capacity," said manager at the Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center Lori Letzring. The center decided to drop their adoption fees for “ready-to-go” pets for just this weekend, and news spread fast.
