Tampa mayor announces new homebuyer program for 'community heroes' | 10News WTSP
Tampa Mayor Jane Castor and city officials announced Wednesday morning a new program aimed at helping law enforcement, firefighters, teachers, medical workers and government employees buy homes.
Eligible participants of the Community Heroes Homebuyer Program can receive a $5,000 grant to match the $15,000 provided through the city’s Dare to Own the Dream Homeownership Program.
Tampa’s new program is in partnership with Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta.
