Little Withlacoochee River closing in on flood stage
Flood stage is nine feet on the Little Withlacoochee River, and the river currently is over eight feet, so that gives you an idea of just how high the water is here. The National Weather Service issued a flood warning for homes along this stretch of river earlier today.
