Sarasota teen bit by shark recovering at home
A Sarasota teen said she is turning a shark attack into a learning opportunity.
Jackie,16, told WWSB she was boogie boarding on Amelia Island when she was bitten on her heel and ankle.
Jackie said she didn’t see the shark but felt the bite.
Jackie had to get eight stitches and will have to use crutches and a wheelchair to get around, according to WWSB.
