Rare virus outbreak leaves sailors quarantined aboard Navy warship
Twenty-five out of 703 service members aboard the USS Fort McHenry have been diagnosed with a viral infection similar to the mumps, according to Navy officials.
Officials said sailors and Marines onboard became ill with parotitis while the ship, which is based in Mayport, was overseas in the Middle East on Dec. 22.
