Former Florida gubernatorial candidate fined $5,000 in state ethics settlement
A Florida ethics panel will drop four of five ethics violation charges against Andrew Gillum in exchange for making the former Democratic gubernatorial candidate pay a $5,000 fine, the Orlando Sentinel reports.
According to CBS Miami, the seven-member Florida Commission on Ethics voted to accept the settlement, which comes after an investigation into Gillum's travel and a ticket to the Broadway musical "Hamilton."
