Florida seeks input on rules for growing hemp
Florida’s director of cannabis is excited about rolling out the state’s first draft of rules for growing hemp.
The crop is expected to generate billions of dollars for Florida’s economy while adding jobs and diversity to the state’s agricultural industry.
“For those of you watching closely, you know this is an exciting time in Florida. We’re on the verge of creating a whole new hemp economy with billions in economic potential,” Holly Bell said in a video released by the state Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services this month.
