Cryptocurrency pioneer to speak at USFSP on Bitcoin, digital currency

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – A notable American entrepreneur and economist is set to speak Thursday night at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg campus.

Charlie Shrem will speak at the Kate Tiedemann College of Business on the history of Bitcoin and the future of digital currency.

Shrem will also speak on the basics of Bitcoin, provide a primer on other cryptocurrencies and share how he launched one of the first Bitcoin trading exchanges.

The event is set to start at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
