Oldsmar man, son abused victims over several decades, deputies say

A Oldsmar man and his son are accused of molesting several girls over four decades, the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office said.

A Oldsmar man and his son are accused of molesting several girls over four decades, the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office said.

Investigators said detectives learned that James Pasco, 63, had inappropriate sexual activity with four victims dating back as far as the early 1970s. Three of the victims were between the ages of 5 and 13 when the sexual abuse took place. The fourth victim was an adult when he sexually battered her in 2017 and 2018, deputies said.

Investigators also said Pasco's son, Joshua Pasco, 43, abused two girls. Detectives say he sexually abused the first victim in the late 1990s when the victim was between the ages of 9 and 13. The second juvenile victim was sexually abused in 2016 while he had authority over the victim.

The two men were arrested on Wednesday.

James Pasco has been charged with three counts of sexual battery on a child less than 12 years of age, two counts of sexual battery-familial authority, two counts of sexual battery and one count of lewd and lascivious battery. The amount of his bail was not available.

Joshua Pasco has been charged with two counts of sexual Battery-familial authority, one count of lewd and lascivious Battery and one count of felony driving while license suspended or revoked. Bail was set at $230,000.

The investigation is continuing.
