CLEARWATER, Fla. - Black lights, neon paint and silk hammocks, aerial “glowga” offers all the benefits of aerial yoga, but with a little more fun.

“People are laughing, they’re enjoying themselves, they’re glowing in the dark. Everyone is taking pictures and trying new, fun things,” said Violet Sullivan, with Kapok Pilates and Wellness.

Aerial yoga uses silk hammocks to allow the yogi to bend, stretch and hang in ways they wouldn't be able to in traditional yoga.

“Glowga” uses all the same moves, but in a party atmosphere. Kapok Pilates and Wellness holds aerial glowga classes once a month. Their next class is scheduled for Friday, April 20, at 8 p.m. Space is limited, so sign-up in advance.
