SPONSORED: Concierge Care is now in Tampa Bay

The number of older adults reporting good health has increased 14% over the last 10+ years, according to a University of Michigan study. Researchers say that’s because seniors now have more accessible access to medical care that focuses on preventative care, as opposed to just treating symptoms. Dedicated Senior Medical Center is one Tampa Bay Area clinic that’s turning seniors’ healthcare into a high quality “VIP” experience.

For too many seniors, high-quality health care has often been beyond reach. But now seniors have a new option: “Concierge Care.” Dedicated Senior Medical Center is bringing concierge-style medicine – and better health outcomes – to seniors in Polk, Hillsborough and Pinellas counties. Dr. Wayne Blount, Medical Director for Dedicated Senior Medical Center, says in addition to their original locations in Lakeland, there are now three new Dedicated Senior Medical Center locations in East Tampa, Clearwater, and St. Petersburg, giving Seniors all over the bay area direct access to doctors who specialize in this new “Concierge Care” model.

The East Tampa location had their ribbon cutting recently, which was attended by Tampa mayor Bob Buckhorn. He told us he understands the challenges that seniors in the area have with getting quality healthcare services. The doctors at Dedicated Senior Medical Center can make connections with their patients and watch over them. Mayor Buckhorn says having this type of attentive care could be a life saver for some seniors.

At Dedicated Senior Medical Center, instead of just treating symptoms, they focus on continued care, chronic care, and preventative care. Dr. Blount says he wants this to be like a family, between the staff and the patients, and that they can count on them to take care of their health. And now with the opening of this Tampa location, they are extending their care services – their concierge care – beyond Polk County. This is their way of “transforming American medical care one place at a time.” Because they practice more preventative care, they “get patients healthy and keep them that way.” And they do this at lower prices than other offices.
