Tampa Bay joggers attacked: How to stay safe while running

LUTZ, Fla. - The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is still looking for help in identifying the man suspected of attacking and removing a jogger's shorts over the weekend.

The incident happened Saturday afternoon on the Northdale Lake Park trail, the sheriff's office said.

In less than six months, several other women have reported being attacked while jogging in Tampa Bay.

Earlier this month, a man attempted to kidnap a female runner near Coffee Pot Boulevard in St. Petersburg. She got away.

Six months ago, a couple of women reported a man on a bike groped them while they were jogging on South Georgia Avenue in South Tampa.
