Education public forum tonight in Tampa

Florida Education Commissioner Gerard Robinson will be in Tampa tonight to meet face to face with parents and teachers as part of a series of public forums regarding the state of public education and the higher standards set for Florida's students.

The humidity is beginning to increase today and we will finally see a small chance for an afternoon shower.  I am also watching and area of clouds and showers in the western Caribbean that will move northeast across south Florida increasing our rain chances tomorrow.  Meanwhile, the heat remains in place with highs near 90.

The Memorial Day weekend is looking pretty good and fairly typical with highs near 90 and afternoon rain chances 30-40%.  Don't worry, it won't be a rain out, but we will see a return of those afternoon showers and storms.

Today: Partly sunny with an isolated afternoon shower.  Winds will blow SE-NW 10 mph with highs near 90.
