Forecast: More PM storms, weekend tropics heat up

10:15 AM, May 25, 2012

Today will bring more heat and storms with highs in the low to mid 90s with a 30% chance for storms.  The rain will begin shortly after lunch time mainly inland a become more widespread late this afternoon.

We'll see a few less storms on Saturday with rain chances down a touch to 20% but Sunday and Monday see a return to better rain chances as an area of low pressure  off the SE coast appears to be developing into a tropical or subtropical system and drift WSW across north Florida.  As of now, I am not expecting a lot of wind, but certainly a few more showers and storms than usual.

Today: Partly sunny, hot and humid with afternoon showers and storms 30%.  Winds will blow NNE-NNW 10 mph with highs in the low to mid 90s.
