Tampa, Florida -- A 38-year-old Georgia woman was arrested Tuesday after police say she attacked her ex-boyfriend and threatened to kill him.

Hillsborough Sheriff's deputies say Jamie Latham drove from Griffin, Georgia to the Holiday Inn on Elm Fair Blvd. in Tampa and coerced her ex, Davis Johnson, to come out to the parking lot. She then started punching him in the face.

Johnson asked Latham to go into his car to keep from causing a public disturbance. When they got in the car, Latham used a stun gun on his right arm approximately three times and poked him in the right side of the abdomen with a large pair of scissors. She then pointed a gun at him and threatened to kill him.

Johnson, 45, was able to get away from the situation and call police.

When police arrived, they found in Latham's possession an electric stun gun, pepper spray, a large pair of scissors, a roll of duct tape and a loaded .25-caliber semi-automatic pistol. During the investigation, police also learned Latham has sent Johnson several death threats through text messages and email.

Police say Latham admitted to them that she drove down to the hotel with the intent to kill him after she found out where he was.

Johnson, from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, suffers from a physical disability which restricts him to a wheelchair and limits his ability. Police say he did not suffer from any visible injuries in the incident.

Latham has been charged with aggravated stalking with a firearm, abuse of elderly or disabled victim, and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
