Fire rescue: Multiple explosions at Hernando County fire

Crews say multiple structures on the property are on fire.

Hernando County Fire Rescue crews responded to a large fire in Ridge Manor.

RIDGE MANOR, Fla. — Hernando County Fire Rescue (HCFR) is working to extinguish a large fire that broke out in Ridge Manor Sunday afternoon.

Multiple travel trailers and a mobile home were destroyed by the fire, according to HCFR.

Crews responded to the 34000 block of Talisman St., off of Route 301, just before 12:30 p.m. Callers reported hearing multiple explosions and seeing heavy black smoke in the area.

The mobile home was fully engulfed in flames when crews arrived on scene.

HCFR, with assistance from Pasco County Fire Rescue, worked for more than an hour to get the fire under control.

As of 4:39 p.m., crews are still on scene working to fully extinguish the flames.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
