TAMPA, Fla. — A Hillsborough County man is millions of dollars richer after being the lucky winner with a scratch-off ticket.
James Muckenthaler, 42, claimed a $2 million prize after buying a winning scratch-off in Riverview according to a news release Monday from the Florida Lottery.
He bought the ticket from a 7-Eleven at 13220 US Highway 301 South. He claimed the top prize and chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $1.28 million.
The retailer also received a $4,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.
