MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. — A motorcyclist died after being hit by a van at a Manatee County intersection on Friday night.
A 64-year-old man was turning left at the intersection of Cortez Road West and 51st Street West when he hit a motorcyclist riding through the intersection at 8:42 p.m., according to a news release from the Florida Highway Patrol.
After the two collided, the 28-year-old man was ejected from his motorcycle and had serious injuries. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital, troopers said.
The crash is under investigation.
