TAMPA -- A multi-vehicle crash killed two people and shut down Hillsborough Avenue on Monday.
Traffic was blocked in both eastbound and westbound directions of Hillsborough at 11th Street North due to the crash between four vehicles. A box truck tipped over, causing an oil spill.
Two people were taken to area hospitals, where they later died, police said. The victims' names have not been released.
The road was closed for several hours
