FLORIDA, USA — The Tampa Bay Rays and the rest of the MLB are headed back to practice as Spring Training kicks off this week.
Pitchers and catchers are reporting Spring Training first, with position players showing days later.
The Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres have already kicked off their Spring Training due to both teams opening up the regular season with the Seoul Series in South Korea. The Dodgers hosted their first workout for pitchers and catchers on Friday, Feb. 9. The Padres hosted theirs on Sunday, Feb. 11.
Teams in the 2024 Cactus League are training in Arizona while members of the 2024 Grapefruit League, which includes the Tampa Bay Rays, are reporting to Florida.
Pitchers and catchers for the Rays are reporting to practice on Wednesday, Feb. 14, followed by the position players joining on Monday, Feb. 19.
