Born in Boca Raton, Florida, Malique Rankin is thrilled to once again be a resident of the Sunshine State. Malique is a reporter at 10 Tampa Bay, working weekend mornings and weekday evenings.
Malique grew up just outside of Charleston, South Carolina. It was in her high school years she first found her love for storytelling. Malique received her bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina. Upon graduation, she spent nearly three years in Bismarck, North Dakota at KX News reporting, anchoring and producing. Malique then spent two years in Birmingham, Alabama at CBS 42 as a general assignment reporter. She brings five years of TV news experience to 10 Tampa Bay.
Off the clock, Malique takes any chance she can to get on the water, kayaking or paddle boarding. She’s no stranger to the Sunshine State, frequently visiting her large family in the West Palm Beach area.
If you ask Malique why she enjoys reporting, she’ll tell you the job is a privilege and a passion. Each and every day brings new faces, new stories, and new opportunities to make a difference. 10 Tampa Bay prioritizes taking deeper dives and showing sharper insights in its reports. You’ll see that in Malique’s reports, giving you all sides to a story.
