Filming for the newest season of The Amazing Race will have to wait.
CBS announced Friday that filming of the thirty-third season was stopped because of growing concern over the coronavirus.
They had already filmed three episodes but sent all the contestants and crews home.
"Due to increased concerns and uncertainty regarding the coronavirus around the world,” a CBS spokesperson said they chose to stop filming just to be safe.
None of the contestants or crews showed any symptoms, but they wanted to be safe.
A new start date has not been determined.
The decision comes after several other media companies chose to halt projects. K-Pop band BTS and Green Day both canceled tour stops. Disney closed Tokyo Disneyland, the third of the company's international parks to close, and production on “Mission Impossible VII” has been halted indefinitely.
