RIVERVIEW, Florida— Just a few miles up from Tampa Bay along the Alafia River, crews will break ground in the coming weeks on one of the area’s largest new restaurants.

Called Tiki Docks, it will be one of the latest concepts for 23 Restaurant Services, a company that manages other successful restaurants, most notably Ford’s Garage.

The company is now launching their latest venture on a vacant piece of property in Riverview because they say the area is primed for new options.

“We feel like that market is very underserved, so we think bringing a quality offering that’s going to be value-driven, you’ll get a great experience without breaking the bank,” said 23 Restaurants President, Marc Brown.

Aside from the food, Brown says they’re focusing on making the dining experience memorable.

“Today’s consumer has become very focused on more than just going out and getting a meal. They want an experience and something to go to."

"Along with indoor-outdoor seating, Tiki Docks will be a boat up restaurant, and even plans to offer jet ski and paddle board rentals. It’s one of the latest in a series of new restaurants looking to take advantage of all the outdoor amenities Florida has to offer."

“I think everyone is understanding that there is a huge market that wants to be outside,” said Brown. “The weather is amazing and we’re blessed to have it.”

At 15,000 square feet, the restaurant will feature several levels, an indoor/outdoor waterfall, and employ about 250 people.

“I’m pretty fired up,” said Brown. “This is one of the most exciting things we’ve done. Our whole team couldn’t be more excited about it.”
