TAMPA, Fla. — Walmart recently announced the closing of its health centers and virtual care service on Tuesday as it said “there is not a sustainable business model for [them] to continue” after opening the first center in 2019.
All 51 of its health centers in five states will shut down, including 23 total in Florida. Of those closures, nine centers are in the Tampa Bay area.
For clarity: Walmart’s pharmacies and vision centers will still be in operation.
