Alleged member of Black Lives Matter disrupts Trump rally

A few people were not excited about his return.
About 6,000 gathered for a Donald Trump rally in Birmingham Saturday, Nov. 21.

(Montgomery Advertiser) -- Donald Trump's campaign trail returned to Alabama Saturday, Nov. 21, and the Republican candidate spoke at the Birmingham Jefferson Convention Complex.

A few people were not excited about his return.

As Trump was talking about his lead in a recent Reuters poll about 35 minutes into his speech, an altercation took place to his left as three people began antagonizing other attendees.

A member of Trump's staff who declined to be named said the three were members of the civil rights group Black Lives Matter.

Two of them were asked to stop and complied, said the staff member. The third, an unknown adult African American man, did not.

"The guy was being disruptive," the staff member said. "He was doing the Black Lives Matter thing and saying other phrases that were really firing up the crowd around him. He was throwing his hands around almost punching."

A few attendees took the man to the ground, and Secret Service arrived to escort him out. The man struggled much of the way and walked out of the auditorium waving his middle finger at the crowd and stage. All the while, Trump encouraged the removal of the alleged antagonist.

"Get him out of here! Yeah you can get him out," Trump said to applause.

It was the second time in three days that someone disrupted a Trump rally and was escorted out. The first was two days ago at a rally in Worcester, Mass., and Trump even referenced that incident in which a "seriously obese" man was escorted out.

"The other night I had one guy who was seriously obese," Trump said. "He complained when I mentioned food stamps, and the guy went crazy and said that wasn't politically correct. Who cares?"

The Trump staff member, however, said it was important to understand why people get kicked out of rallies during the presidential election.

"It was a safety issue," he said. "The guy was intentionally antagonizing the crowd."
