FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. — Florida deputies stopped a driver who they say pulled several baggies worth of drugs out of his butt.

Authorities say Derick McKay, 36, was stopped for going 51 in a 35 mph zone Thursday morning in Flagler County. Deputies say he wasn't wearing a seat belt, and the whole traffic stop went downhill from there.

Investigators claim they immediately smelled marijuana on McKay and his vehicle. Deputies say they then realized he was driving on a suspended license and had five prior suspended license convictions. So, they arrested him for driving with a suspended license -- again.

During a pat-down, a deputy reported finding a "foreign object" near McKay's butt. When McKay arrived at jail, authorities say he removed the following items from his rear:

  • a large baggie of cocaine
  • a small baggie of crack
  • 8 small baggies of heroin
  • 2 small baggies of Molly
  • a small baggie of marijuana
  • 12 white oval pills of Lortab
  • 12 green pills of oxycodone

“This was a routine traffic stop that ended with a serious poison peddler behind bars,” Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly said. “This dealer is not new to Flagler County and despite many chances, he just doesn’t seem to learn his lesson and a get a real job. I hope the courts deal harshly with him and get him off our streets for good before he sells to someone who overdoses or dies.”

McKay, who has previous drug-related arrests, faces a handful of charges including driving on a suspended license and drug possession with intent to sell. He was booked into jail, where he is being held without bond.
