Pinellas Co. elementary school teacher caught on video shoplifting, deputies say

A woman seen shoplifting at a Seminole beauty store has been identified as an elementary school teacher, Pinellas County deputies say.

Kelly Rose Greene, 34, has been charged with grand theft.

Surveillance video taken at Ulta Beauty Store, 7676 113th St. N., on Oct. 14 showed a woman taking $537 in multiple beauty, facial and hair products.

Detectives released a copy of the video surveillance to the public via social media on Wednesday. A school resource officer from Pinellas County Schools Police recognized Greene from the video surveillance and told detectives.

When questioned, Green admitted she was the person in the video, detectives said.

She was arrested Thursday and transported to the Pinellas County Jail. Her bail is set at $2,000.

Green was a teacher at Lakewood Elementary School.
