New school for children who are neurodiverse under construction in Hillsborough County

The school will serve children from 6 week to 8 years of age.

VALRICO, Fla. — A new school and playground are under construction in Hillsborough County.

The Easterseals School for Limitless Learning will be for kids who are neurodiverse or have other related disabilities. The school will be open to kids from 6 weeks to 8 years old.

Jenn Siffermann is the Vice President of Programs for Easterseals.

"The School For Limitless Learning will be very unique in that we are focusing specifically on the individual needs of children and it is a play-based program," Siffermann said.

School Program Director Janine Stewart explains how the program will work.

"So the biggest thing is we want to be able to get down on a child's level," Stewart said. "We play with them and then we're able to build a profile based on their individual differences so we can meet their individual needs."

The school is being built on Bloomingdale Avenue in Valrico to serve the needs of that community. It should be complete by May and they are hoping to offer some summer programming.

The school will officially launch this August. Find out more about Easterseals School for Limitless Learning here.
