Lakeland police are asking for the public's help to solve a homicide that took place early Friday.
About 1:52 p.m., police were sent to the 500 block of West Magnolia Street, where a unresponsive man was found with a head injury in an alleyway.
The man, later identified as Mack Holloman Jr., 38, of Lakeland, was taken to Lakeland Regional Health, where he was declared dead.
The medical examiner found Holloman had been shot.
