ZEPHYRHILLS, Florida -- Pasco Sheriff's deputies have arrested a man in connection with a fatal shooting at a Zephyrhills home Monday morning.

When deputies responded to the home on Valleybrook Avenue around 9:15 a.m., 27-year-old Joshua Moore was found with a gunshot wound to the stomach. Moore was flown by helicopter to a local hospital where he died a short time later.

David Brian Usry, 35, who also lived at the home, was arrested at the scene and charged with second-degree murder.

During the course of the investigation, deputies learned Moore had gotten in a verbal argument with Usry's mother. After the argument was over, the mother drove away in her car. Usry then confronted Moore, the two got into an argument, and Usry allegedly shot Moore in the stomach.

Usry is being held at the Land O' Lakes Detention Center where he has been charged with second degree murder.

The incident remains under investigation.
