Tampa, Florida -- Busch Gardens' round-trip railroad is going out of service... for now.
The Serengeti Railway will be closed while the park reroutes the tracks, in order to make way for a new attraction coming next year.
Busch Gardens has not yet revealed what the new attraction will be, but it will be pretty large. In plans filed with regulators last month the park said it will expand the old King Tut building by almost 12,000 square feet.
While the new attraction won't be ready until 2016, the changes to the railroad shouldn't take nearly as long. Busch Gardens expects the Serengeti Railway to be back up and running by early summer.
The theme park recommends using the Skyride for the best view of the Serengeti plain while the railroad is closed.
The news comes as the park closed its wooden roller coaster Gwazi earlier this year.
