Tampa, Florida -- A popular Bay area restaurant is closing for good.
Champps Americana is located at International Plaza in Tampa.
The restaurant shut down overnight.
A spokesperson for the national sports bar chain says their Tampa location simply wasn't meeting "financial performance levels" to remain open.
Around 60 people are out of a job, although the company says it's offering managers and other long time employees severance packages.
Champps Americana has around 50 locations across the U.S. Currently, only one location remains in Florida in Ft. Lauderdale.
