Family pleads for hit and run driver to come forward

A Bay area family is making an emotional plea, hoping the person who hit and killed their son will come forward.
Police say 22-year-old Martin Jay Baltimore was riding his motorcycle when a dark colored, possibly black, car turned in front of him. After hitting Baltimore, the driver took off.

Clearwater, Florida -- A Bay area family is making an emotional plea, hoping the person who hit and killed their son will come forward.

It happened the week before Thanksgiving at Hampton Road and Gulf to Bay Boulevard in Clearwater.

Police say 22-year-old Martin Jay Baltimore was riding his motorcycle on November 20th when a dark colored car turned in front of him. After hitting Baltimore, the driver took off. Baltimore was taken to the hospital, where he later died.

His family is now pleading for the person responsible to please come forward.

"There are so many people who have been hurt and ripped apart over this" says Thomas Baltimore, Martin's father. "We do want whoever was involved in this to know and understand that we do understand that this was an accident... but we need you to come forward, so we can have some type of closure."
