Jones was later arrested for DUI serious injury, DUI property damage and driving with a suspended license involving serious injury.

As a result of the crash, I-275 northbound at Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and I-275 southbound at Hillsborough Avenue were closed, the Tampa Police Department said in a statement. By 3:30 a.m. Monday, all of I-275 were reopened.

At the time, traffic cameras showed heavy traffic on the interstate and multiple law enforcement patrol cars in the area.
