TAMPA, Fla. -- A man accused of shooting two people, prompting the SWAT team to surround a South Tampa home for hours, was found at a nearby Popeye's restaurant.

Jonathan Lacroix, 39, is charged with two counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and one count of carrying a concealed firearm, according to the Tampa Police Department.

If convicted on even one of the first counts, he could spend up to 15 years in prison.

Police say Lacroix shot 67-year-old David Bowles in his chest and his son, 32-year-old Adam Bowles, in his leg -- apparently unprovoked, according to the victims. No one is yet sure of a motive.

Although officers and the responding SWAT team were told around 6:40 p.m. Tuesday Lacroix still was in the house, police received a tip he was at a Popeye's a half-mile down the street.

Lacroix, who police say had a handgun on his body, was arrested and taken to jail just before 8:20 p.m.

Both Bowles are expected to recover from their injuries.
