Investigators trying to determine fault in deadly Polk crash

Polk County, Florida -- Polk County Sheriff's Office detectives are investigating a crash that occurred around 3:15 a.m. Sunday morning at the intersection of U.S. 27 and Cypress Gardens Blvd. near Winter Haven.

Two vehicles were involved with two occupants each. Passenger of one car, Jose Gleen, died at the scene. The three other people involved - Sorlida Wiley, Lennard Allen and Ryan Robinson - have been transported to local hospitals with serious injuries.

As Chevrolet Cavalier was driving northbound on 27 was turning onto Cypress Gardens Blvd a south bound Nissan Altima on 27 impacted the Cavalier directly on the passenger side.

No independent witnesses have been able to tell us who had the right-of-way.

That is under investigation, as are other details related to the crash.
