Riverview man arrested after wielding firearm on I-75 in Manatee County

MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. — A Riverview man was arrested after he pulled a firearm during a road rage incident on Interstate 75, according to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).

Troopers responded to reports of an incident between the driver of a silver Infiniti SUV and a black Chevy Malibu on southbound I-75, near mile marker 228. The driver of the Malibu told officers a man in the Infiniti SUV waved a firearm "in a threatening manner."

Troopers located the Infiniti on the interstate in Bradenton, just south of State Road 64. The driver was identified as 53-year-old Troy Kevin Luke.

Upon investigation, a firearm was found inside the vehicle.

Luke was arrested and booked into the Manatee County Jail. He is charged with improper exhibition/brandishing of a firearm.
