HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. — A 78-year-old man is dead after crashing into a barrier wall while riding southbound on Interstate 75 Saturday morning, Florida Highway Patrol says.
FHP says the crash happened around 9 a.m. along the outside shoulder of the highway just north of Fletcher Avenue. It is still unknown how the Wesley Chapel man lost control of his motorcycle, authorities say.
The man died at the scene of the crash.
