Porn on the Bounty?

Officials for "The Bounty" say they were lied to by "movie" producers, who they let do some filming on the ship. It's the same ship from the classic "Mutiny on the Bounty," a popular St. Pete tourist attraction, and now, the backdrop for a very popular porn movie.

Joyce Witryk, Tourist from Buffalo, NY: "It's cool and really neat." The ship may now be infamous, thanks to the X-rated movie, "Pirates." Scenes from this flick were filmed on board the "Bounty" back in June. Joyce Witryk, Tourist from Buffalo, NY: "That's nasty." Susan Robertson, Spokeswoman for The Pier: "There was filming, there were pirates, there were actors, but there was not anything that was inappropriate that was done on the Pier."Management at the Pier wants everyone to know that the scenes filmed on the "Bounty" were clean. The scenes that are X-rated were made in a California studio. Still, the Pier officials are livid that a hard-core porn flick that just won the adult film equivalent of the Oscar for Best Picture had set up shop on this St. Pete landmark. Susan Robertson, Spokeswoman for The Pier: "They did something they said they were not going to do. They said it was going to be a PG-13 film. We took them at their word, and they didn't deliver on that." The Pier knew something was amiss when customers recognized some of the porn stars during the June filming. Joyce Witryk, Tourist from Buffalo, NY: "People see that and say, 'Ughhhhhhh, that's not where I'm going to take my family.'" Susan Robertson, Spokeswoman for The Pier: "You feel angry and you feel duped, because what was represented to you is not what happened." The Pier and the "Bounty" immediately asked the moviemakers to not reference them in film credits, so they didn't. The Pier now hopes tourists will continue to attribute the Bounty with an old movie with Marlon Brando, and not the new flick with porn stars./>
