Red, white and babies: Military moms treated to baby shower

The Star-Spangled Babies program throws baby showers for expectant service members and their growing families

PLANT CITY, Fla.— Military moms from Tampa Bay were treated to their own baby shower in Plant City Saturday.

Operation Homefront Star-Spangled Babies shower teamed up with Cracker Barrel to celebrate with 25 new and expecting moms.

All the moms got donated gifts for their babies from Cracker Barrel. They also had experts there to help them in their new roles as moms.

The Star-Spangled Babies program throws baby showers for expectant service members and their growing families. Due to deployments and frequent relocation, military parents-to-be often live far from their extended families and support systems.
