SARASOTA COUNTY, Fla. — An investigation is ongoing after a body was found at a pond Sunday morning in a park in Sarasota, deputies said.
At 10:26 a.m., authorities arrived at Lakeview Park after receiving a report of an unresponsive man floating in the pond, a spokesperson for the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office told 10 Tampa Bay.
The Sarasota County Fire Rescue also arrived at the park and pronounced the man dead at the scene.
Authorities say there were no signs of trauma on the man's body and no evidence that may suggest a crime was committed.
All areas of the park are open and the sheriff's office says there is no threat to the public.
Deputies have not yet identified the identity of the man found dead.
Detectives from the sheriff's office and the medical examiner's officer will continue to investigate the incident.
