LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Shania Twain, a desperate housewife? Yes, on September 20th. Her new single titled "Shoes" will lead the album "Music From and Inspired by Desperate Housewives," and the accompanying video will feature Twain alongside "Desperate Housewives" cast members Teri Hatcher, Eva Longoria, Felicity Huffman and Marcia Cross. The album will feature aptly-themed covers and original songs, including Martina McBride's version of "Harper Valley P.T.A.;" a new original from SheDaisy titled "God Bless the American Housewife;" Sara Evans ' "One's on the Way;" "Running Out of Time" by LeAnn Rimes, and eight other songs -- plus the show's theme, by Danny Elfman. The album will also feature tracks of dialog from each of the "housewives," including Mary Alice -- the one whose suicide started the series.
