St. Petersburg, Florida -- The man who bought a winning $50 million Powerball jackpot ticket from a St. Petersburg grocery store has come forward to claim his prize.
The Florida Lottery says 30-year-old Christopher McGurran won the December 26, 2012 jackpot and will receive a one-time, lump-sum payment of nearly $32.5 million.
The winning ticket, a Powerball Quick Pick, was bought at the Sweetbay located at 2139 34th Street North. The Sweetbay will receive a bonus incentive of $25,000.
McGurran is the fifth Powerball winner in Florida history -- the most of any state.
