Teen driver in fatal Bayshore crash charged as adult

The 17-year-old driver in last month's crash on Bayshore Boulevard that killed a young mother and her daughter will be charged as an adult.

TAMPA, Fla. - The 17-year-old driver in last month's crash on Bayshore Boulevard that killed a young mother and her daughter has been charged as an adult.

John Barrineau was arrested as a juvenile after the May 23 crash.

The Hillsborough County State Attorney's Office filed the charges Wednesday.

Tampa police say Barrineau and Cameron Herrin, 18, were street racing when Herrin's Ford Mustang struck 24-year-old Jessica Raubenolt and her 2-year-old daughter Lillia.

Barrineau and Herrin were charged with vehicular manslaughter in the deaths.

The passenger in Herrin's vehicle, Tristan Herrin, was charged with street racing.
