ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Only a few hours remain to cast a vote in the 2018 midterm election, and it's only after the polls close that results will begin trickling into newsrooms across America.
Florida has two time zones: Eastern and Central. This means the majority of polls will close across the state at 7 p.m. EST. An hour later at 8 p.m., look for the remaining polls to close across the Panhandle.
If you are in line to vote when your polling place closes, you still have an opportunity to vote.
