LAKEPORT, Fla. — A man in Glades County did not get away with his own version of an undercover mission when he dressed as a woman to escape deputies looking for him.

On Wednesday just after 3 p.m., Glades County Sheriff’s Office deputies had just recovered a stolen boat in the Old Caloosa Lodge area in Lakeport, according to a Facebook post

Officials later identified the person who may have stolen the boat as 33-year-old Joshua Kolotka.

When deputies searched for Kolotka, they said they saw him walking out of a home dressed as a woman. In a photo provided by the sheriff's office, the man appears to be wearing a blonde wig, sunglasses, a white sweater and a teal-colored dress with black and white patterns.

Deputies arrested him for stealing the boat and a John Deere Gator, along with charges related to two Okeechobee County warrants, the post said. Authorities also found many other stolen items on the scene and said they believe those items were stolen around the same area.

Officers from the Seminole Police Department are helping Glades County deputies identify stolen items from other theft cases in the area, officials said.
