'Rocky' comes to Florida: Stallone says he's 'permanently' leaving California, moving to Sunshine State

In 2021, the "Rocky" actor and his wife bought a South Florida estate.

FLORIDA, USA — Actor Sylvester Stallone is reportedly saying goodbye to California and will "permanently" call Florida home.

The "Rocky" star made the announcement during the season two premiere of his reality series "The Family Stallone," which streams on Paramount+. During the episode, Stallone told his daughters, Scarlet, Sistine and Sophia that he and wife Jennifer Flavin Stallone, their mother, were relocating to the Sunshine State.

"After long, hard consideration, your mother and I have decided, time to move on and leave the state of California permanently," he said during dinner. "And, we're going to Florida."

"We already have the [Florida] place. It's a done deal," he later added.

Later in the episode, he reportedly admitted he was a little unsure of the relocation, saying it wouldn't be an "easy transition" but his wife "had her heart set on it," so he "gave in," People reported.

Not long after the episode aired, Florida First Lady Casey DeSantis was already welcoming the Stallone family to the "Free State of Florida!"

In a post on X, DeSantis said, "In addition to respecting and protecting your God-given, constitutional right to be free, you can also buy toothpaste without having an armed guard in CVS unlock it for you."

The Stallone family isn't a stranger to Florida — back in late 2020, the couple bought a $35 million estate in Palm Beach, according to Palm Beach Daily News. The news outlet said at the time the sprawling lakefront compound is located at 1480 N. Lake Way and sits on 1 1/2 acres.
