The live action didn’t stop after the first presidential debate between nominees Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. Stephen Colbert led a live edition of The Late Show and gave his thoughts about the faceoff.

Colbert said prior to the debate, “Democrats have not been this nervous since Anthony Weiner asked to borrow their phone.” But ultimately, he complimented Clinton on her readiness, nicknaming her, “Preparation H.”
Yes, in Colbert’s opinion she trumped the republican nominee. “Instead of doing a bunch of mock debates,” Colbert began, “the word is that (Trump) sat down with friends over bacon cheeseburgers, hot dogs and glasses of Coca-Cola and tested out zingers. Wow, that’s how I prepared for tonight’s debate, too. And he may not have prepared, but it also looked like he didn’t.”
The late night host also called out The Donald on his sniffling, his claim that his temperament was his best asset, and contradicting Clinton when she said he thought climate change was perpetrated by the Chinese. Colbert showed a tweet from November 2012, in which Trump said, “The concept of global warming was created by and for the Chinese in order to make U.S. manufacturing non-competitive.” (The social media network later reported it was the most retweeted item during the debate.)
With so much material, we’re sure late night hosts can’t wait for the next debate.
