2 people sent to the hospital after driver couldn't make turn near Bayside Bridge

Two people ended up in the hospital after a serious crash late Tuesday near the Bayside Bridge.

CLEARWATER, Fla. -- A scary-looking crash ended up seriously injuring two Brandon men.

Coi Jenkins, 19, was driving south after 8 p.m. Tuesday from the Bayside Bridge nearing Roosevelt Boulevard when he wasn't able to make the right curve, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The car left the road, through the median and across more lanes of traffic before ending up in the trees.

Jenkins is in serious injury at an area hospital. HIs passenger, 20-year-old Travis Wildfong, is in critical condition.

An investigation is ongoing.
