Miami - Another “wide-right” has helped the Miami Hurricanes beat the Florida State Seminoles once again. Xavier Beitia missed a potential go-ahead field goal try of 39 yards with five-30 remaining, allowing the tenth-ranked Hurricanes to beat the Seminoles 16-to-14 in the Orange Bowl. The ‘Canes rallied from a 14-to-3 deficit. Tyrone Moss ran for a two-yard touchdown in the second quarter before Jon Peattie hit a 44-yard field goal as the first half expired. Peattie put Miami ahead with his third field goal of the game, a 51-yarder in the third quarter. Jarrett Payton ran 22 times for 131 yards for Miami, which ended the season 11-and-2. Chris Rix tossed a short TD pass to Tyrone Moss, putting the Seminoles ahead 14-to-3. But Rix had an otherwise miserable game, going just 2-of-12 for 18 yards in the second half. FSU ends up 10-and-3.
